• Do I need an appointment to bring in a device for repair?

Nope.  You can bring your camera, lens, or other device in to submit it for a repair review anytime we are open.

  • Is there a cost for estimates for a repair?

Yes - $25.  This amount will be applied towards the repair itself if you choose to go through with the repair.

  • How long does a repair take?

That really depends on a number of factors:  how many repairs we currently have in line, what type of repair and/or device it is, availability of parts (which we have no control over typically), and a few more things.  We do have an express option for many repairs  - that currently runs $100 and has your repair completed in approximately two weeks.  The express option is not always available due to parts availability.

Some items, such as many small point-and-shoot cameras, only take two to three weeks to repair normally.  If you need it faster than that, please ask.  There might be a surcharge to completing it faster, and we will do our best to do so.

Some smaller repairs can also be done faster than typical as well.

  • Do repairs have warranties?

Yes!  Typically this is 90 days from the day we notify you that it is available for pickup.  Please note that:  it starts the day we notify you it is available for pickup.  If you wait 60 days to pickup your item, you will have 30 days left in your warranty.

Some repairs have only 30 or 60 days warranty.  Please ask about your specific repair if you would like to know how long yours is.  That being said, 90% of repairs fall into the 90 days category as noted above.

  • How long do I have to pick up my item?

You have 60 days to pick up your repair once notified it is ready or from the time you have declined the repair - unless it is already paid for in full (see below).

If not paid for in full, then the 60 days applies.  Any device left more than 60 days - regardless of how much money was paid prior to the repair - becomes our property.  There are no refunds for partial payments in this case either.  You lose both your partial payment and your item.

If you paid in full, and it has been more than 60 days, please let us know ahead of time when you are coming to pick up your item.  It may have been put in storage in the back and we need to pull it out.  If you come in without notice for such an item, expect you may need to wait a little while we pull it out of storage.

Even if paid in full, any item left more than one year from the time of notification becomes our property and there will be no refund.

  • Can I make partial payments on my repair over time?

Yes - put the rule for pickup within 60 days still applies.  See the answer to that question for details.

  • Can I pay online or via Venmo or Zelle?

Yes - however, we only take complete payments online or via Venmo or Zelle.  Partial payments are not accepted via these methods.
